My Nana and I

My Nana and I
We were gardeners
my Nana and I.
Flowers grew
butterfly-like
around the garden
when the time was right.

We were baking freaks
my nana and I.
We laughed
happily -like
in the kitchen
when Nana Dale’s crumble was done.

We were swimmers
         my Nana and I.
We swam so much
Fish-like
to the end and back
Until we couldn't go no more.

We were fighters
my Nana and I
We  fought for her life
warrior-like
In the name of Love
But in the end we  lost.

We were gardeners
we were baking freaks
we were swimmers
we were fighters
my nana  and I
when Nana
was alive.

So my Nana passed away on the 16th of December 2017 of terminal cancer they gave her a couple months but she shocked them with 6 years of survival. In loving memory Nana dale.
